Fallbarrow Hall

Located in Bowness on Windermere very close to the lake, It is a Victorian private house, used as an exclusive residential training centre, which is perfect for a relaxing break and an inspiring and comfortable quiet environment in which to paint. With internet access and a host of original features its a real home from home.

Crosthwaite Mill

We also run courses from the Mill. This preserved 18th century corn mill sits within its own grounds and provides the perfect location. It has retained many of its original features including the huge waterwheel and grindstones.  Accommodation is in single, double and twin rooms, all with direct dial phones and en-suite or dedicated facilities.

THE VILLAGE: Bowness-on-Windermere is a short 5 minute walk from the Hall and has an abundance of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and all ages. For lovers of Miss Potter and the Peter Rabbit stories The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is right on the doorstep, and by taking the Ferry across to the other side of the Lake you can walk, or drive, to her beloved house Hilltop in Far Sawrey. In Bowness Bay you can relax at The Glebe, a large open green space, or take a boat trip on the Lake with the famous Windermere Lake Cruises - a must for any visit to the Lake District. Walk above the village to one of the Viewpoints and be amazed with the views. Tennis Courts, Crazy Golf, Pitch and Putt, Children's Softplay at Quayside Kids, Boat and Canoe Hire are all on offer in Bowness and within easy walking distance of the Hall.
