 Appleby Hub is a community centre in the heart  of Appleby. It is run by local charity, The Oaklea Trust, which operates across  the north of England supporting communities and individuals. The Hub cafe is open  Wed-Sat 10:00-15:00 – serving hearty wholesome artisan food based around local  produce. The Hub also is a vibrant showcase for local artists, hosts art courses  and craft
 workshops as well as yoga classes.

 Castle Fine Arts is an artist studio,  gallery and artist materials shop. The Artist, Mark Hilsden, undertakes house  portrait commissions, gives classes and hand makes pigments from local stones.

 Housed in a 17th century Granary, Courtyard Gallery  has a changing display of original paintings and original prints, which can be  viewed in a relaxed atmosphere. Coffee, tea and home made cakes can be enjoyed  whilst browsing.

 This local organization sponsors monthly lectures on  different artists. Lectures are held in the Market Hall in Appleby at 11am.  Each lecture lasts approximately 1 hour with coffee served from 10.15 to 10.45

 Appleby Remote Cinema Scheme is a non-profit organization run by volunteers that show at least ten  films a year in Appleby’s town hall. Tickets are sold at the Appleby tourist  office and at the Courtyard café. For an additional fee you can also purchase  the dinner that is themed to the film. Appleby Remote Cinema is part of Eden  Art's rural touring Cinema scheme.

 Highlights  connects over 65 venues, an army of volunteers, and an ever-growing list of  artists bringing great arts to rural areas, filling village halls with music,  dance, theatre and storytelling. Highlights is supported by the National Rural  Touring Forum and work in partnership with ArtsOutWest.
